Ron, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, even if I don't agree with you. I don't anthropomorphize snakes (speak or think of them as if they were human) at all, I treat them as a part of the living Creation that they are. Unfortunately, killing out of fear and ignorance is the most dangerous aspect of humankind and endangers so many wild aspects of the world in which we live. That being said, I appreciate that you don't kill snakes in general.

You all realize don't you that over history the deaths attributed to these potent little criturs has created a very large thoughtform in the human unconscious that is the body of "fear" you describe which affects people and is seemingly based on nothing considering that even folks who have never seen one feel this reaction when seeing one for the first time. It is this "fear" that helps to keep one from going under from being too near to them and therefore is a survival instinct and wholly necessary. I'm reminded of folks like the Ausey who was killed by one of his' beloved' criturs with a stab to the heart that if considered correctly was the balance needed at the time to all this love and 'dont fear' energy he was propagating with his programs. I used to be an avid snake killer when I was a pup over 60 years ago but prefer not to disturb them presently because they are not poisonous around this neck of the woods. There are some creatures on this planet that were brought here via other means than evolutionary including humans and they are not desired in populating a humanized world and a list of them would include snakes which came from another universe entirely as raiders and we have had to defend against them ever since. What you see as snake species are a lower frequency form of the reptilians we have been oppressed by for hundreds of thousands of years. The stories in the bible of the snake in the garden of Eden was not just plucked out of thin air. Why was not a fish used or a tiger or a wolf or...? The dragons of old are not figments of our imagination but real and we are at this time trying to overthrow the last of these and so snakes in my mind are helpfull if they are knocking off the mice and rats that make life miserable for farmers and city dwellers but it is one thing to love all unconditionally but another to try to make the deadly serpents lovable in human terms. You can love all you like but if I had to deal with the death deliverers around here I would have to become a snake whomper in my old age and with a certain satisfaction. Love em if you like but I will stand fast and protect my family and neighbors however. You ones who love snakes need your heads examined. Just my opinion flawed as it may be...
