Toxic Food for the Masses Part Two – The Gut & Fake Proteins

As I pointed out in Part One of this series on toxic food, it is quite apparent that there is more than a casual association between GM foods and adverse health effects across the board. This has been demonstrated time and time again by numerous independent studies from around the world. Despite the length of time on the open market, people either are still unaware of the dangers or they simply choose to believe the lies paid for by Monsanto and company and those of the corporate chemical industry shills that have been put in charge of the FDA and USDA.  But the real evidence of this deadly collusion is in the sudden dearth of leaky guts and bewildering levels of diseases that come with them, and the brave independent researchers and educators willing to put their careers on the line for the truth.

The facts are that genetically modified foods are now being recognized as one of the primary causes of the sudden rise in incidences of autism, Alzheimer’s, celiac, and other autoimmune disorders. This began with a sudden rise in food allergies in every country where GMOs and glyphosates had recently bee introduced. One example was in the UK, where allergies skyrocketed by 50% soon after GM soy was introduced. In fact, anyone who is allergic to soy should also know that when GM soy protein is cooked it contains as much as seven-times the amount of known allergens as compared to non-GM soy.

In the early years, the GMO Franken-Food murderers were promising to feed the world while at the same time twisting the arms and bank accounts of any farmer who resisted planting their seed.  Additionally, any truly independent researcher daring to investigate or study the claims made by one of the Big 6 Franken-Food companies (now the Big 5, with Bayer’s recent acquisition of Monsanto) was quashed as ruthlessly and effectively as an insect doused with Monsanto’s DDT and run out of their profession.

Despite these ruthless tactics, many truly independent studies were able to be conducted outside of the long reach of Monsanto and Friends, and they turned up some truly frightening results.

In September of 2012, a two-year peer-reviewed study on the effects of feeding Monsanto’s NK603 GMO Roundup Ready corn to rats and exposing them to exceedingly low levels of Roundup herbicide was published by researchers at Caen University in France. Their findings found seriously alarming results that indicated the dangers of GM food, feed, and their associated herbicides.

The study was based on the same exact protocols Monsanto had used in 2004 to prove that their corn was safe for consumption. But the scientists in the Caen study increased the length of the research period from Monsanto’s paltry 90-day study to a more revealing 2-year study. The Caen scientists also wanted more documentation as to the effects of their study, so they not only increased the number of animals tested (it was already the largest animal study of its kind) but increased the frequency of testing and the number of factors that would be tested for.

Researchers tested for three doses (rather than two in the usual ninety-day long protocols) of the Roundup-tolerant NK603 GMO maize alone, the GMO maize treated with Roundup, and Roundup alone at very low environmentally relevant doses starting below the range of levels permitted by regulatory authorities in drinking water and in GM feed.” What they found was nothing short of horrific.

It took only four months (eight weeks more than the Monsanto-led study) for the research team to begin seeing the negative physical effects. The Caen study rats developed 400 times the number of large tumors and died 2-3 times more often – and faster – than the control group. They had increased mammary tumors, affected pituitary glands, and congestion and necrosis of the liver. Researches also found that exceedingly low doses of Roundup disrupted estrogen and androgen receptors in cells and acted as a sexual endocrine disruptor in live animals.

According to the study, “By the beginning of the 24th month, 50–80% of female animals had developed tumors in all treated groups, with up to three tumors per animal, whereas only 30% of controls [non-GMO-fed] were affected. The Roundup treatment groups showed the greatest rates of tumor incidence with 80% of animals affected with up to three tumors for one female in each group.”

Read that again very slowly and imagine that we humans are the rats. Disturbing, isn’t it?

An earlier study conducted in 2011, entitled,“Maternal and fetal exposure to pesticides associated to genetically modified foods in Eastern Townships of Quebec”, led by Aziz Aris and Samuel Leblanc and published in the journal Reproductive Toxicology, found Bt toxin and the herbicides glyphosate and gluphosinate in nearly 100% of pregnant (and non-pregnant) women and their unborn babies. And a more recent study of randomly selected participants from around the country had glyphosate (Roundup) in their blood and urine.

One of the main problems in all this is in the way that the body attempts to process glyphosate (RoundUp) and gene-altered proteins found in GMO foods and many non-GMO crops sprayed with the herbicide.  The protein molecules in GMOs are very similar but not exactly like those found in natural foods. The body doesn’t realize the difference until they try to digest or break them down into glycine, a very important proteinogenic amino acid the body needs to stay healthy. 

Unlike their natural counterparts, these pseudo-glycine proteins are totally undigestible or useable by the human body. The body is fooled just long enough to take them in but soon realizes that they aren’t what they should be. Reeling from trying to digest these foreign and undigestable proteins, the body tries to flush them out through the single cell layer lining the gut just like they would any other toxic foreign body.

This is where leaky gut, celiac disease, and IBS among many other dis-eases originate.  The fake proteins then go directly into the bloodstream and again the body tries to rid itself of them and can’t.  So, not only are you not getting the proper amount of essential glycine you need to stay healthy but once this process is underway, your body is in a constant state of inflammation. And chronic inflammation is at the root of most diseases. Since GMOs and glyphosate are found in just about every kind of food you can possibly imagine.

Over time, the build-up of these genetically manipulated proteins and your body’s constant reaction to them leads to serious systemic turmoil, which leaves you prone to developing a bewildering array of pseudo dis-eases and their symptoms.

As bad as all this is, the troubles with GMOs and Round Up doesn’t just start in your gut – their detrimental effects begin in the environment in which they are grown; with the farmers that grow them; and perhaps, even in your very own garden.

    • Thank you, speculator! I appreciate the comment and am glad you found the description helpful. I’ve been writing and speaking about GMOs for almost ten years and this description was the best I ever came across and clearly explains why the body reacts to GMOs so negatively.

  2. Very valuable scientific information Jill, thank you for sharing it.
    Organic seeds are the most important even when it is about the cooking oil.
    I remember I couldn’t find sunflower oil in Canada, the oil we use for cooking in Europe , I really had to search for it in certain stores and at a double price. The same goes for olive oil. The most used oil in Canada is Canola, of course full of GMO. The onions and potatoes were GMO based, and non browning , hard to be cut. It took hours of cooking and they were still hard to chew.
    It’s worth mentioning the lack of garlic, beets on Canadian stores, garlic is very important medicine , natural antibiotic that cured me of the leaky gut, and cleaned my bowels, together with wheat bran. Due to the fact that GMO is predominant 90% on Canadian food market it is hard to find organic food and keep healthy, you really have to shop around and go to small Planet Organic shops.
    As you say farming, and living on a farm is the best solution for people, and of course the awareness of all these negative effects that GMO and pesticides have on health. There are ways to recognize GMO food, I really learned a lot.

    • Thanks, Laura. I switched to using only olive oil some years ago, but as the price steadily went up and quality went down I started using a blend of sunflower and avocado oil and have been very happy with it. GM potatoes were developed by the American-based JR Simplot Co, the biggest producer of russet potatoes (and potato products) in the world and the primary potato supplier to McDonalds and other mega-fast food chains. Of course, they don’t mark them in the supermarket, but when you get one, you know because, like you said, they are very hard and take a long time to cook to the soft stage. I’m not aware of any GMO onions on the market anywhere in the world, though. My research indicates they are not available in any commercial sense (research only at this time) because they can’t quite get the genetics on that one right – thank God. 🙂 Here’s an interesting overview on GMO onions.       • An interesting aside on potatoes that most people may not be aware of is that most traditional potato producers, even those that don’t grow GM varieties, spray the crop with glyphosate just prior to harvest as a defoliant, which kills the aboveground portion of the plant to make harvesting the spuds with machines easier. I have no idea, though, how much of the herbicide winds up in the potato itself.

      • Ya got me on that one, Robert. I’m in the southern half of the US Midwest. The good thing here is that we’re rural and we have loads of small farmers, many of which are producing excellent local fare.

  4. The problem Jill, with the onions was that they never melt in the stew, they were floating on the top, and even after 2 hours of cooking they were still hard. The size of the onions was huge and they were hard. At that time I didn’t know the reason and I was blaming myself that I put too many, but now it all makes sense. The size of all fruits and vegetables was huge and they all had the same shape uniform, that is not normal.
    As for the pesticide you are right, I noticed the apples had a shiny coat on it looked like wax, they didn’t have any spots on it.
    What I found bewildering was the bleached flour, I never knew why they need to bleach it. I was always bloated and once I tried the organic brown flour I felt fine. Of course, the black bread whole grain was more expensive but it worth buying it.
    As for the hard liquor, I figured it out, it was made of GMO wheat, the same rashes appeared. i was never allergic in my life.
    I guess it depends on a person’s body, some are more affected than others due to the GMO food, but eventually you get sick in one way or another, some bloat, others have allergies, others get fat and so on.
    I would like to ask you a question: if you researched wines, what is it in wines that causes red rashes on the face? I experienced that as well

    • Those onions sound nasty! What kind of onions wouldn’t cook quickly? I’ve had every kind of onion there is and they all get soft very quickly… I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they were running a secret test market for GM produce and other so-called foods on unsuspecting consumers – we’re their human guinea pigs, after all. As far as the wine goes, there’s a good chance the fruits were sprayed with pesticides, though probably not with glyphosates as grapevines are perennials and need their leaves until dormancy. Also, wine contains histamines produced during fermentation and are known to aggravate allergy symptoms. The grapes themselves contain it and sensitive people can have all kinds of allergic reactions. Most also contain sulfites to preserve color and many people get headaches and other symptoms from that. Also, once you’ve become sensitized and have severe reactions, just about anything could trigger an allergic reaction.

  6. A major issue I confronted is the corn starch. Anything I bought contained corn starch in it: sour cream, yogurt, sauces, canned food, mayo, ketchup, and so on; what is worst it was modified corn starch. There was no product without it. What is your opinion about it Jill?

    • As you know, cornstarch is made with corn – GMO corn. I have no idea what happens when they “modify” it, but if it’s GMO and you have leaky gut (celiac) and allergies and other sensitivities then non-organic corn starch could totally trigger a reaction!

  9. @ Leo Mcfadden I started having problems in 2011, I was always bloated, constipated no matter what I ate. I didn’t know back then that i had leaky gut, the nutritionist told me to detox the bowels and try eat organic. That was very hard as the symptoms never went away.
    I started looking for whole grain bread and pastry and wheat bran and I started feeling better. Of course, the whole grain bread was more expensive but it is worth buying it.
    I am not sure where you live Leo, if in the States try and find some organic planet shops, I found one in Edmonton in Canada.

    The main ingredients you need is whole grain bread and wheat bran.
    The wheat bran/ wheat germ is sold in packages and
    I took 2 table spoons on empty stomach every morning and
    2 table spoons every night, if you want you can do it three times a day.
    It does not have any taste at all.
    Wheat bran is the best fiber for promoting regularity and keeping your digestive system on track. …
    It has much magnesium. Wheat bran is the top food source of this mineral.
    I just remembered I also followed the same recipe with Chia seeds and Flax seeds. After 1 month I started feeling better.
    As for the garlic we Romanians ( I am of Romanian origin) have a recipe is called garlic sauce , we use it on stakes or pork chops.

    Another option is to take a few cloves of garlic chop/smash them and swallow them with water on empty stomach but that’s not so tasty.
    This mujdei (garlic sauce) is very healthy and you can use it as sauce on fish, pork chops, during the day as well. For me I used garlic just to clean and detox my body.
    I also had problems with the bile and for that I used a small cup of olive oil with lemon juice on empty stomach in the morning.
    You can eat sauerkraut, pickles, any salad with lemon juice, it helps your bowels and digestive system.
    For detox it is best using the wheat bran, garlic, and flax and chia seeds for a couple of weeks, two months till you detox entirely. Try to eat organic and avoid the glyphosate gmo fruits and vegetables.

  12. If my ex-boyfriend had listened to me and detox he would have been alive now. He died last year of pancreatic cancer. Listening Dr Seneff I realize now that glyphosate and the rest of the chemicals are in wines, beer, food, cigarettes, and slowly kill you if you don’t take care of your health. This is what I told him before I left Canada two years ago, when he said his liver is fat. Adding to this the constant talking on the cell phone and stress. It is sad what happening, cancer is all over skyrocketing.

  13. I just want to share one more thing. It might help you and other people. I had the calcium and other mineral deficiencies, so I started eating fresh organic parsley and dill chopped off and all kinds of green leaves salads, it does help. I also read the Cruciferous vegetables are cleansing the liver as well.

  14. I’m so sorry to hear about your boyfriend. People are succumbing to toxic overload and it’s sad to see. My brother died a couple years ago of brain cancer. I’m convinced it was his cell phone, yet no one wants to hear that. He did all the right things to detox and get healthy food into himself, but the cancer was too strong. I agree with you on the raw herbs and veggies! Anyone who is sick should fast, juice, and eat only organic raw fruits and vegetables for at least three months to flush toxins. You keep on showing people how to elevate their nutrition and detox, Laura! I know you get a lot of crap for your beliefs, but those that listen will thank you for it!

    Yes you are right Jill, I get a lot of crap from people I agree with you. I keep telling them don’t drink coca cola is full of poison and they laugh call me crazy.
    As for Cancer I warned my ex boyfriend well in advance to go have a therapy and detox in Mexico, just as a precaution, but when he was diagnosed it was too late to go.
    I was reading about Gerson therapy (above link) his wife has a clinic in Mexico and does treat cancerous people with natural remedies. I also know people who were healed with coconut juice, and sodium bicarbonate.
    Dr. Tulio Simoncini (link below) , you can prevent cancer with antioxidants and treat cancer, but when the cancer is so strong it is hard to heal.

    I am sorry to hear about your brother, it is sad and painful to see them leave. But I am 100% sure about cell phone causing cancer, my ex was constantly talking 6-7 hours a day on the cell phone, the electro magnetic waves were big part of the problem together with the rest food, drinks and so on. I am thinking of the babies and children what future holds for them, not a bright one from what I see.

    • I’ll definitely check those links out, Laura. I strongly recommend The Truth About Cancer docu-series. It covers so many levels of alternative cancer treatments – some of which actually help those who have chosen to take the traditional radiation/chemo route to get through those treatments better. And of course, I’m a big fan of Gerson and restructured water – and real live, living water, too! You can do a type of simple water restructuring Dr. Emoto style by simply placing a jar of water in the sun. The water absorbs the earth and sun’s natural harmonic frequencies and when you drink it, the water’s memory of harmonic frequencies goes into your body and restructures the water in your own cell. That’s a another article I’m hoping to work on soon.

  16. I started watching the Truth about cancer Episode 1, and it is very interesting how doctors succumb to the drug industry’s requirements misleading patients. My opinion is that we as human beings need to be informed and research and question doctors . Many people believe blindly in doctors and drugs that is wrong. My god mother who worked in the dentistry used to tell me that the whole medical system is a Mafia, profiteering from people’s poor health. I came to realize that she was right. Nature has to be obeyed and this Medical mafia goes against nature forbidding natural remedies.

    I blame these medical associations as they submit to the money and profit, a person should take up a profession and dedicate himself/herself to it not to money. If everyone rebelled we would live in a different world Jill. Thanks so much for sharing this documentary with me and with the rest of the people who read your articles.

  18. There are 9 parts to the Truth About Cancer docu-series. I suggest everyone watch it even if they don’t have cancer because there is so much incredible healing information in there that can be used for all types of illness and disease. Plus if you or someone you love wind up with cancer, you will already have some idea of alternative treatments. And yes, you can reject any medical treatment in America as long as you are not a ward of the state, though the pressure to follow your doctor’s suggestions can be incredibly intense as you’ll see later in the TTAC series. You might even lose your doctor if you don’t follow their medical advice, but maybe that’s for the best if they don’t want to help you in other ways. And yes, we do have apricots here and some people know about the kernels, though I don’t think they are easy to find outside of the fruit and ready to eat like other nuts.

  19. You are right Jill, you can’t find outside the fruit, you need to buy lots of apricots to crack the kernel and take out the seed. I know a person who was diagnosed with cancer terminal left to the Mexican clinique and was healed. He also drank a lot of coconut juice from the big coconut directly. The medical system is afraid of these alternative medicine as they will lose their monopoly and money.

  20. So true. It’s sad that healers have to leave the country to practice. Medical doctors and dentists also do harm, but they are given benefit of doubt before legal action. I believe if healers can show a certain level of effectiveness with few mortalities or proven injuries that they should be allowed to practice their craft without being harassed by the government or policy groups.
